A Master alloy is an alloy that consists of two or more other elements of relatively high percentage. It is a semi-finished product that is used as an additive to another material such as titanium alloy, high-temperature alloy and other special alloys. Titanium alloys for instance combine titanium sponge and a master alloy to form an ingot which is in turn converted into general mill products such as billet, bar, plate, sheet, tube, etc.
